Terms of Service

This document is written in Traditional Chinese and English; where they differ, the Traditional Chinese version prevails.
Welcome to Kaji (the "Service"), provided by [Company legal name] ("we", "us"). By creating an account, topping up or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Consumer Notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
- Kaji is an online collectible-card pack service. You use your account balance to buy one or more pulls from a pack; each pull randomly awards one of the prizes the pack lists (an "item"). Items are physical collectible cards or goods.
- Each pack's price, the odds of each tier, its prizes and their reference values are published before you buy and are locked when you confirm. In a limited (finite) pool the odds follow the cards left, so they change as the pool sells.
- Results are decided by our server with a published, verifiable algorithm; you can recompute every pull on the Fairness page. The reveal animation is presentation only: skipping it never changes a result.
- We hold the items you win for you (the vault); you may sell them back or have them shipped under section 6.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to register and use the Service.
- One account per person. You must give a real email address you control and verify it before you can open packs or top up.
- Keep your password safe. Everything done with your account is treated as done by you. Tell us at once if you notice unauthorised use.
- Your account is for you alone; do not lend, transfer, sell or share it.
3. Balance and top-ups
- Your balance is in US dollars, can only be used within the Service and earns no interest. It is not a deposit or an e-payment account.
- Your balance is kept by source. Promotional credit is spent first, then card funds, then any other balance:
- Card funds: money you add with a credit or debit card through our payment provider, Stripe. Usable for packs and shipping fees.
- Promotional credit: amounts we give, such as the new-player reward or campaign credit, usable under the conditions of each campaign. It cannot be cashed out or refunded.
- Buyback proceeds go back to the balances that paid for that draw, in the same proportions.
- The Service does not currently offer withdrawals of your balance as cash.
- A top-up is added once the payment is complete and our payment provider confirms it. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
- Amounts spent on packs are not refundable. You may ask us to refund unused card funds as described in the Consumer Notice. If a top-up payment is later refunded, reversed or disputed, we will deduct the corresponding amount from your balance.
- If a system error makes a balance or record wrong, we may correct it and will let you know.
4. Opening packs
- When you confirm a purchase, we charge your balance and reveal the result at once. Each pull is complete as soon as it is revealed: it is an online service completed on delivery, so it cannot be cancelled or refunded, and the seven-day cancellation right does not apply. Please check the price, odds and quantity before you buy.
- You cannot buy more pulls than a pack can currently supply; a finite pool closes when it runs out.
- A finite pool's last-one prize goes to the player who draws the pool's final card, together with that card.
- Reference values are our estimates from market information; they are not market prices and do not guarantee the value of any pull. The expected return is a long-run average calculated from the published odds and reference values; it does not predict any single result or your own results.
5. Your items
- Items in the vault are held by us on your behalf and listed under My Collection.
- Item images are for reference; the item shipped is the item itself. A graded card's grade is the grading company's.
- Card names, artwork and trademarks belong to their owners. Kaji is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by them.
6. Buyback and shipping
- Buyback: you may sell an item back to us at the buyback rate published when you opened the pack; the amount is added to your balance. Buyback offers expire as shown on the page; a confirmed buyback cannot be undone.
- Shipping: you may ask for items in the vault to be shipped to a supported region (currently Taiwan and Hong Kong). We quote shipping and insurance per order; we ship once you pay the quote while it is valid. You are responsible for delays or returns caused by incorrect delivery details.
- Items that are being shipped or have been shipped cannot be sold back. See the Consumer Notice for more on shipping.
7. What you must not do
You must not:
- use scripts, bots or any automation with the Service, or interfere with, reverse-engineer or attack our systems;
- create multiple accounts, impersonate anyone, or use several accounts to collect promotional rewards;
- exploit errors or bugs for gain, or fail to tell us about one you find;
- use the Service for money laundering, fraud or any other unlawful purpose, or pay with a payment method you are not entitled to use;
- sell or trade accounts or balances.
If you do, we may suspend or close your account, cancel the transactions and rewards concerned, recover any balance gained improperly, and take legal action.
8. Referral programme
Referral codes and the partner programme follow their own published rules. Referral commissions never affect the odds, price or result of any pull.
9. Changes, interruptions and closing
- We may suspend all or part of the Service for maintenance, upgrades or events beyond our control, with notice where we can.
- We may change or withdraw packs and features; completed pulls and items already won are not affected.
- You may ask us to delete your account at any time. Please deal with items in the vault and unused balance first; records we must keep by law are kept after deletion.
- We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms.
10. Limitation of liability
- The Service is provided as is. Except for our wilful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 30 days before the loss arose, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms by posting the changes and their effective date on this page. We will tell you of material changes by email or on the site. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the changed Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Both parties will first try to settle any dispute in good faith; failing that, the Taiwan Taipei District Court has jurisdiction at first instance, unless the law provides for exclusive jurisdiction elsewhere.
